Qeshm, which used to be known as Abr Kavan in Sassanid Era, is the largest island in the Persian Gulf and the world’s largest independent island. The island’s location is exceptionally strategic due to the importation ports and reputable markets. Fantastic beaches, mangrove forests, and 60 Bandari villages can be enough reasons for visiting this mysterious island.

Let’s take a look at the Itinerary of the Persian Gulf

Day 1: Takht-e Rostam – : Arrival to Qeshm (road trip)

Before arriving at Qeshm, we will visit Naghsh-e Rostam, located 6-km from Perspolis. You can explore three eras of history in this magnificent historic site, including the Elam, Achaemenid, Sasanian era. Takht-e Rostam is definitely one of the most invaluable wealth of Iranian heritage, which should not be missed by any visitor. After visiting Takht-e Rostam, you will be transferred to the Qeshm on a road trip and spend your first day in the hotel preparing yourself for exploring the Persian Gulf!

In first day, visiting the scared fig tree is also included. This tree is originally from India and Southeast Asia. The tree has brought from the land of India to the Persian Gulf and it’s one of the fantastic attractions of Qeshm.

Day 2: Exploring Qeshm

Your sightseeing will start in Hara Jungle, aka Mangroves Jungle. Here, you can explore this beautiful forest and see some of the rarest birds in the world. Taking a ferry to visit different parts of the forest make your sightseeing more enjoyable. Near the Mangroves Jungle, you will find Borka Khalaf, one of Iran’s most mysterious places. One of the most beautiful sites to visit in Qeshm is “The Valley of Stars,” which is included in your itinerary.

Day 3: Naaz Island

Day 3 is dedicated to visit and enjoy the beaches of Qeshm island. On the shore of Qeshm, there are two tidal islands called Naaz Islands. Interestingly, at low tide, Qeshm’s intertidal zone connects the islands to the Qeshm shore; however, the coastal area is submerged during high tides, forming two hills. Some of the most beautiful attractions in this area are Khurbas caves with exceptionally rocky architecture.

Wildlife is also fantastic in Qeshm; therefore, we will have a visit to Crocodile Park, and our final stop in Qeshm will be the Portuguese castle, which is a trace from the old days when Iran used to be colonized by European.

Day 4: Hengam

Your fourth day is dedicated to the Hengam island, one of the most colorful islands in Iran known as Paradise for Artists due to the gorgeous landscapes. Day 5: Hormuz

Nadalian Museum, red beach, Salt Goddess Cave, and Valley of the Status are all magnificent attractions in your last day itinerary in the Persian Gulf.

Day 6: Takht-e Jamshid

This fantastic area was the ceremonial capital of Darius the Great in the Achaemenid Empire, founded in 512 BC. You will be stunned by this magnificent site at the heart of ancient Persia.
